Position Summary

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating a variety of material handling equipment—including reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and cherry pickers—to load, unload, move, and stage products throughout the warehouse. This role supports daily distribution operations by ensuring accurate inventory handling, maintaining a clean work environment, and following all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift & Equipment Operation

  • Safely operate reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers (order pickers), sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks.

  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.

  • Pick, move, stack, and organize pallets and products within designated warehouse areas.

  • Operate equipment in narrow aisles, high-rack areas, and elevated picking locations.

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.

Warehouse & Inventory Duties

  • Pull and stage orders using pick sheets, RF scanners, or supervisor instructions.

  • Assist with receiving by checking in and verifying incoming shipments.

  • Follow FIFO and correct product rotation standards.

  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect products to warehouse leadership.

Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.

  • Wear required PPE and follow food safety, GMP, or warehouse sanitation standards as applicable.

  • Maintain clean aisles, racks, docks, and work areas.

  • Use correct safety procedures when working at height on cherry pickers.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and cherry pickers required.

  • Ability to operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

  • RF scanner experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse setting with temperature changes depending on storage areas.

  • Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting.

  • Elevated work required for order picker operation.
