Job Description
The Management Analyst II (MA-II) provides fiscal oversight and end-to-end grants management support for assigned federal and state awards and related subgrants. This role ensures full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, funder guidance, and internal policies; maintains accurate reconciliations; reviews and processes reimbursement requests; prepares subaward packages; and partners closely with program staff and subrecipients to optimize timely, compliant use of funds.
Key Responsibilities
Grant & Subgrant Fiscal Oversight:
- Maintain bi-monthly reconciliations for high-complexity grants (multiple CANs, many subrecipients, special tracking/earmarks).
- Track and report revenue, expenditures, and encumbrances/obligations; resolve discrepancies and ensure transactions align to legislatively approved budgets and funder limits.
- Complete grant budget-period and/or fiscal year-end reconciliation and reporting per established timelines; provide fiscal detail for program reports and support FFATA reporting as needed.
Requests for Reimbursement (RFRs):
- Review and process subrecipient RFRs within five business days; verify coding, Chart of Accounts alignment, and budget consistency.
Subaward Administration:
- Prepare subaward packages, amendments, and budget revisions; upload allocations in the grants management system; coordinate with program staff and subrecipients.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide technical assistance and updates to subrecipients; interpret and clarify policies and grant requirements.
