Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician is an entry level position reporting to Laboratory Management and works on a team with other Lab personnel. This classification is also for training and development and may be eligible for advancement to Senior Laboratory Technican.
Operate analytical equipment such as LC, GC, UV-Vis, melting point, Color meter, and pH meter to inspect in-process samples according to Lab SOP.
Knowledgeable of typical laboratory equipment and procedures.
Requirements: Work independently with minimal supervision; Read and comprehend material prints; Read and use a tape measure to 1/32 and convert to a decimal, if required; Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 40+ lbs; Communicate with supervisors as needed
Job Duties: First article inspection and all subsequent inspection as required
Ergonomics: Bending, twisting, pulling; Standing for a full shift; Lifting 40+ lbs
Mostly operate stand up order picker. If primary experience is sit-down, must be willing to learn stand up. Drivers may help in unloading trailers, picking product in racks or floor locations, picking product from racks or floor locations, consolidating orders, or relocating product between buildings.
Will train at 9:00 Monday and Tuesday, then go to their shift.
