1. Performs a variety of repetitive line, or single station, assembly operations, working singly or as part of a group. 2. Assembles complete units or subassemblies. 3. Performs a variety of punch press operations, such as blanking, perforating, forming, reforming, extruding, staking, sizing, riveting, stamping, partial close, closing, trimming. 4. Operates either hand feed presses, or presses equipped with automatic feed. 5. Performs quality checks, as directed or instructed, work, components, and/or finished product for defect, which may include the use of gages and/or checking fixtures. Responsible for the quality of parts run. May be required to make straight forward process adjustments per instructions. 6. May, as directed, exercise personal judgment in the positioning and location of parts in assembling. 7. Operates a variety of machines/equipment related to the assembly process, including but not limited to, tube benders, welders, etc. 8. Must be alert for die malfunctions and/or machine difficulties; bring same to attention of setup man or supervisor. 9. Maintains clean area around work stations, picks up all parts, components, scrap, etc., and sweeps work area as required. 10. Moves raw material and/or components on specified job to machine, moves finished items, counts parts, packages, as required. 11. Completes job cards, as directed, before leaving work station and/or starting new job. Completes any other forms which may be required, as directed. (May include Statistical Process Control Charts.) 12. Insures that all tools, containers, fixtures, etc., are returned to proper person and/or place upon completion of job. 13. Assures that finished items are segregated from scrap. 14. Checks safety devices and has setup person check same prior to running first piece, as required. 15.
