MCA Communications, a telecommunications integration and services company, is looking to hire Cable Technicians of various experiences to work in commercial businesses to install and repair cables by installing, maintaining and repairing voice and data telecommunications cabling networks.


Duties (duties vary depending on position) include, but not limited to:

  • Pulling, termination, testing, and labeling of any CAT, Copper, or Fiber cabling

  • Will be responsible for maintaining and properly operating all company issued vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools

  • Performing maintenance and installation duties on telecom systems

  • Works directly for the Lead Technician and/or other supervisors performing installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage cabling systems

  • Complete pre-cabling preparation, installation of associated hardware and equipment.

  • Performing Job Safety Analysis (Lead Tech)

  • Conducts site surveys (Lead Tech)

  • Ability to develop and work to a project specific Statement of Work (SoW) that captures all installation/activities needed to satisfy customer requirements and schedule (Lead Tech)

  • Ability to manage and keep costs on or under budget (Lead Tech)

  • Ability to identify, order, and maintain materials (Lead Tech)

  • Ability to review customer requirements and recommend an approved solution (Lead Tech)

  • Ability to prepare and update engineering drawings (Lead Tech)

  • Ability to select and assign technicians to project specific assignments based on skills, experience, and project scope (Lead Tech)



  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Must have 6 months of some construction site experience

  • Must have some cabling certifications (Lead Tech) or training

  • Must be able to interpret prints and floorplans (Techs and Lead Techs)

  • Must adhere to BICSI-EIA-TIA specs

  • Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs.

  • Must not have a fear of heights

  • Must have own tools

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must be able to pass background (no charges or convictions) and drug screen

  • Must be able to work in the US

  • Must be safety conscience

  • Must have end-to-end network and system troubleshooting experience (Lead Tech)

  • Must have strong customer service skills to support professional one-on-one interaction with end users and customer managers (Lead Tech)

  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills to support active participation in project planning (Lead Tech)

  • Must have management skills in dealing with employee performance issues, incidents, or needs (Lead Tech)
