Journeyman Carpenter Position Available

Job Title: Rough Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Construction Worker
Location: Northeast Austin
Pay Rate: $25 or Based on Experience

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile and safety-conscious construction worker for a multi-story school project. The role will primarily involve installing guardrails at elevation, along with a variety of additional construction support tasks as the project progresses. Candidates must be able to communicate in English (bilingual preferred), and must pass an SB9 background check and a drug screening (UA).

Key Responsibilities

• Install guardrails on multi-story structures, working safely at elevation

• Perform rough carpentry and assist with other commercial construction tasks

• Operate construction equipment (rough terrain forklift, skid steer, wheel loader, boom lift)

• Support various site needs including:

  • Sweeping and site cleanup

  • Operating loaders or compactors

  • Assisting with concrete work

  • Painting signs, fixing fences

  • Building temporary walls, stairs, or decks

  • Landscaping tasks (mowing, weed eating, tree trimming)

  • Dewatering

  • Installing metal door frames

• Adapt to changing project needs and assist where required

Requirements

• Proficiency in rough carpentry with commercial construction experience

• Confidence and safety awareness while working at heights

• Certification or strong experience with equipment (rough terrain forklift, skid steer, wheel loader, boom lift)

• Must pass SB9 background check and UA drug test

• English-speaking or bilingual (required)

• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

• Willingness to work Monday–Saturday as needed (typically 40 + hours per week)
