We are seeking a skilled and experienced Batch Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience operating batch plants in the field. As a Batch Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in the production of concrete and other materials used in geotechnical construction projects. Your expertise in operating batch plants, knowledge of concrete production processes, and commitment to quality control will contribute to the success of our projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor batch plant equipment to produce concrete and other materials according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow batch formulas and recipes to accurately mix materials, including aggregates, cement, water, and additives, in appropriate proportions.
  • Adjust batch plant controls and settings to ensure proper mixing, consistency, and quality of the materials.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials, coordinating with suppliers as necessary.
  • Collect samples of materials at regular intervals and perform quality control tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Analyze test results and make adjustments to batch formulas or plant settings as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials usage, production quantities, and test results.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams and supervisors to ensure production schedules are met and materials are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with truck drivers and other personnel to load and dispatch materials from the batch plant.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning, greasing, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or incidents to the supervisor or maintenance personnel immediately.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and requirements, including environmental regulations and permits.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist with other construction-related tasks as directed by supervisors.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience operating batch plants in the field.
  • Proven experience operating various types of batch plant equipment, including proficiency in using controls and adjusting settings.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, including materials mixing, quality control, and testing.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices related to batch plant operations.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and material requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Proficiency in conducting quality control tests for concrete and other materials.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing project needs.
  • Physical stamina and endurance to perform tasks in various weather conditions and work environments.
  • Effective communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with team members.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
