  • In search of a Directional Drill Operator for water and sewer contracts over the state of Georgia.
  • Schedule: Traveling is 90%, per diem offered, and benefits offered.
  • Pay: Based on Experience $18 - $25 an hour (negotiable)
  • Full-Time and Long-Term opportunity only - NOT A TEMP POSITION OR UNION
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and provide proper identification


Responsibilities:

1. Operate Directional Drill Locator. Also operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and cranes, to perform various construction tasks.

2. Safely maneuver and control heavy equipment to excavate, grade, and move materials according to project specifications.

3. Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment to ensure its optimal performance and prevent downtime.

4. Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and fellow operators to plan and execute tasks in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to project schedules.

5. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating heavy equipment, promoting a safe working environment.

6. Operate heavy equipment with precision and accuracy, ensuring the efficient completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards.

7. Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, performing minor repairs or coordinating repairs with the maintenance team as needed.

8. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and project progress for reporting purposes.

9. Assist with the training and supervision of less experienced operators, providing guidance and support as needed.


Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent and have their own vehicle

2. Valid heavy equipment operating license or certification.

3. AT LEAST 3 - 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE OPERATING IN THE WATER/SEWER INDUSTRY

4. Strong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.

5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on project requirements.

7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

8. Physical stamina and ability to withstand long hours of operating heavy equipment.

9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
