  • In search of a Experienced Underground Sewer/Water Pipelayer for water and sewer contracts over the state of Georgia.
  • Schedule: Traveling is 90%, per diem offered, and benefits offered.
  • Pay: Based on Experience $20 - $25 an hour (negotiable)

We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of our construction projects. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for laying and installing underground pipelines, ensuring they are properly aligned, sloped, and secured. With attention to detail and a strong work ethic, you will play a vital role in the foundational construction process.


Responsibilities:


1. Lay and install underground pipelines, including water, sewer, and drainage systems, according to blueprints and project specifications.

2. Ensure proper alignment, slope, and elevation of the pipeline network, utilizing specialized tools and equipment.

3. Collaborate with the construction team to evaluate site conditions, locate utilities, and plan the pipeline installation process.

4. Assist in the excavation of trenches and the preparation of the work area, including the removal of debris and obstacles that might hinder the installation process.

5. Cut, thread, and connect pipes using appropriate methods, such as welding, gluing, or sealing, to ensure a secure and leak-free pipeline system.

6. Install and secure fittings, valves, and other pipeline components as required.

7. Perform regular quality checks to ensure that the installation meets the established standards and regulations.

8. Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators or compactors, to assist in the pipeline installation and maintenance processes.

9. Collaborate with other construction workers, including equipment operators and laborers, to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.

10. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and your team members.

11. Maintain and repair pipelines as needed, including replacing damaged sections or components.

12. Document work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered for project reporting purposes.


Requirements:


1. Proven experience as a Pipelayer or similar role in the construction industry.

2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.

3. Strong knowledge of underground pipeline installation techniques and procedures.

4. Proficient in using and maintaining relevant tools, equipment, and machinery.

5. Excellent physical stamina and the ability to withstand strenuous work conditions, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing, bending, and crouching.

6. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

7. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

9. Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

10. High school diploma or equivalent.
