Job Overview:
We are seeking a Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician with hands-on experience in CAD welding using copper. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical installations for commercial or industrial projects and demonstrate safety, precision, and the ability to work independently or with a crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CAD welds (exothermic welding) using copper materials for grounding and bonding applications.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
- Interpret technical drawings and follow specifications to complete projects accurately.
- Lay out and run conduit, pull wire, and terminate electrical panels and devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures while working on-site.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of electrical experience (apprentice level or higher).
- Proven experience with CAD welding and copper ground systems.
- Valid electrician’s license or registration (depending on local/state requirements).
- Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and plans.
- Must have own basic tools and reliable transportation.
- Safety-conscious and team-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman license (State of Texas or reciprocal state preferred).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience in utility grounding, telecom grounding, or lightning protection systems is a plus.
