Heavy Equipment Mechanic

MEMCO is seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment. Welding experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, bulldozers, etc.)
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment performance and safety
• Utilize welding skills to repair structural components and attachments
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Work independently and as part of a team in field and shop environments
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
• Strong welding skills (MIG, Stick, or TIG preferred)
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Basic computer skills for diagnostics and reporting
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and a strong problem solver
