Construction Materials Technician(CMT- Technician)

MEMCO is seeking a Construction Materials Technician for the Corpus Christi area. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting construction materials like soil, concrete, and piles. Certifications such as ACI, NICET, or TXDOT are preferred, but applicants at all experience levels are welcome. Training will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field and laboratory testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials.
• Coordinate daily priorities and deadlines with dispatchers or coordinators.
• Communicate with contractors, supervisors, engineers, or project leaders at job sites to coordinate procedures.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of nuclear gauges.
• Safely operate and care for company vehicles, field tools, and lab equipment.
• Report on-site developments and any delays to supervisors.
• Submit accurate testing and inspection reports daily.

Qualifications:

• Flexible schedule and ability to work in varied conditions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong math skills for analyzing test results.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and a background check.
• Relevant certifications (TXDOT, ACI, NICET).
• Physically able to lift heavy equipment and materials.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
