Building Maintenance Technician

MEMCO Houston is hiring a BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Location: North Houston

Pay Rate: $20/hr and up (based on experience)

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure all building systems, facilities, and equipment operate safely and efficiently. This role involves general maintenance tasks in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.

Duties:

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, mechanical systems, and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas and mechanical rooms
• Handle minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
• Track maintenance activities and report completed work to supervisor
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergencies

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in general building maintenance or a related trade (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams, and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or outdoors
• Criminal background check will be ran upon job offer
