We are seeking a skilled and detail orientated Press Brake Setup/Operator to join our precision metal fabrication team. This position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining an Press Brake to form sheet metal components to exact specifications. Ideal candidates will have experience working with various materials, interpreting technical drawings, and performing quality inspections to meet high standards of accuracy. We offer training for operators with foundational experience who are eager to advance their skills in setup and programming.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Press Brake machines according to part drawings and bend simulations

  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, submittals, and part blueprints

  • Perform bend setups and process adjustments using standard and custom tooling

  • Configure bend allowances for stainless, aluminum, and steel materials

  • Conduct routine and spot inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools

  • Maintain tight tolerances (+/- .060) and ensure all formed parts meet specifications

  • Develop and run complex programs using AccurPress features and controls

  • Perform general maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of press brake equipment

  • Assist with secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, and degreasing as needed

  • Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, efficient work environment

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience operating and setting up press brake equipment, preferably in a custom fabrication environment

  • Proven programming experience with AccurPress or similar press brake systems

  • Familiarity with progressive and compound tooling

  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges

  • Ability to read and analyze technical shop drawings and work instructions

  • Dependable, energetic, and able to work in a fast-paced setting

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain

  • Must wear steel-toe boots and pass a pre-employment drug screen

 

Candidates must have solid work history and proven reliability.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
