SUMMARY: Mold Press Operator:

Utilizes mold presses in the mold shop to fulfill daily production requirements as instructed by the Department Supervisor and the Production Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Press Operator:

· Utilizes multiple injection molding presses in a Class VII cleanroom to fulfill the production requirements.

· Follows procedures and policies in place to protect the manufactured product.

· Ability to read, understand and follow work instruction.

· Uses controlled drawings to manufacture a quality product.

· Accurately records batch and production information for each order.

· Loads the silicone injection pump with 5-gallon buckets (40lbs. ea.) of Liquid Silicone Rubber.

· Performs and logs daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping tasks to maintain the integrity of the molding facility.

· Ability to measure using a tape measure and dial calipers.

· Understands tolerances and how to apply them to measurements.

· Inspects product for visual defects or imperfections.

· Applies skills to solve problems in the manufacturing process.

· Shows initiative, is punctual, and dependable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Mold Press Operator:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Mold Press Operator:

Basic math skills required, ability to work with fractions and decimals. Must be able to measure effectively utilizing a variety of measuring tools.

REASONING ABILITY: Mold Press Operator:

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret drawings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Mold Press Operator:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Operating the press requires that the team member pulls insert from over molded connections through silicone tubing (length of tubing typically does not exceed 48”) 3-6 times every 15-20 minutes. The employee must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

Salary: $17.30 per hour

  • 8 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Night shift

  • Overtime
