Job Summary:

The CFO/Operations will have day-to-day and ongoing impact on the company's operations and support the growth our financial position. This position is responsible for oversight of financial planning and strategy, profitability, strategic planning and vision, promotion of process improvement, financial forecasting, budget development, and managing a team. This position serves as a resource to both the CEO and President.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

  • Oversees the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.

  • Prepares & review internal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Oversees all functions of accounting department from payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

  • Oversees weekly cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks, authorize large wires and ACH.

  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

  • Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staffing requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans

  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.

  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.

  • Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.

  • Works closely with the Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including staffing job orders, sales and client relationships.

  • Develops operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, safety, and customer-service strategies.

  • Develops continuous improvement initiatives across all functions of the organization by designing systems, accumulating resources, resolving problems, and implementing change.

  • Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying various efficiency opportunities across all functions of the organization.

  • Assesses and evaluate financial performance of an organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.

  • Provides insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans of the organization.

  • Select and engage consultants, auditors, and investors.

  • Oversees human resource department and strategies including determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; and planning and reviewing compensation strategies.

  • Oversees corporate information technology activities, including server production, software production & upgrades, phone system performance, system security and asset retirement & upgrades.

  • Maintains industry knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

  • Identifies and mitigates financial risks that may impact the company's profitability or stability. They develop strategies to manage financial risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.

  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO and/or Founders

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Analytical and comfortable with numbers

  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices

  • Highly proficient in accounting software, word processing, and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Quickbooks is a plus.

  • Strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.

  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in financial management & operations required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
