Medical Assistant

Responsible for direct patient care and the assisting of the Physician or mid-level practitioner.

Description: We are searching for a motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant.

Duties: • Provide overall support for Physicians and office operations.

• Prepares patients for examination and treatment.

• Takes patient histories and vital signs.

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.

• Gives injections and assists with lab testing and Phlebotomy.

• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.

• Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.

• Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.

Qualified MA's should be able to provide proof of:

• At least 1 Year MA experience

• Current Medical Assistant Certification

• Proof of a PPD test within the last 12 months. (If the test is positive they require a chest x-ray. If the x-ray is more than a year old they require an Annual TB S&S form.)

• Vaccine/titers record for MMR

• Vaccine/titers record for Varicella-2
