Communicates all problems or out-of control situations to Production Lead or Production Supervisor on a timely basis. 4. Completes all assigned paperwork. 5. Performs his/her job within established safety procedures/ policies and maintains safety awareness within their department to help achieve company goals, as well as prevent injuries to employees. 6. Performs his/her job within established GMP policies. 7. Maintains close working relationship with quality personnel and Production Lead. Recommends adjustments in processes and methods to accommodate inspection results. 8. Maintains confidentiality with all Bergin Fruit and Nut information, formulas, procedures, etc. 9. Performs other tasks as directed by Production Lead or Production Supervisor. 10. Attends production, safety, schedule, and management meetings as requested. 11. Recommends discipline in deficient situations and execute discipline under direction of Production Coordinator and Production Supervisor only. 12. The employee is sometimes exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees working in the oil roasting room are expected to wear hearing protection. TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB SUCCESS ESSENTIAL - High school graduate or equivalent - Able to perform physical requirements of all subordinate positions - Prior experience (1-2 years) in manufacturing/packaging environment - Able to operate or learn to operate scales, computer, calculators, etc. - Good mechanical aptitude - Able to work a variety of work schedules and overtime DESIRABLE - Cooperative attitude/team orientated - Proactive thinker - Bilingual - Spanish/English PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
