The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preparation of industrial equipment in a vacuum pump re-manufacturing process to include, but not limited to, disassembly, estimating, inspecting all components against a cleanliness specification.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Present parts for assembly in a standardized format using boards, tables, and/or carts according to established procedures
Read, interpret, and apply technical documents and troubleshoot at a modular level
Use test equipment such as but not limited to, Multi-meter, infrared thermometer and amp clamp
Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output as defined by the production goals
Assist with the implementing and maintaining Continuous Improvement, 5S and Lean activities to improve work flow and reduce waste as directed by management
Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment within their defined process step.
Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to fork lifts, battery powered pallet jacks, overhead cranes, etc.
Use high level measurement devices to qualify parts
Inspect parts against cleanliness specification
Prepare pumps and parts as per instructions for painting and assembly stage
Operate industrial ovens to ensure proper adhesion as per instructions
Operate grinding machine to properly size the coating thickness to specifications
Clean industrial pumps using hot/cold dip parts cleaner, high pressure parts washer, bead blaster, and sand blaster
SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
