Field Service Engineer - France - Nikon Scanner

PSS is seeking Field Service Engineer to support AG Associates Nikon Scanner for sustaining activities in France.


  • Core Job Responsibilities

    • Perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance.

    • Perform equipment conversions and upgrades.

    • Perform shift sustaining activities.

    • Specifically :RTP toolset ( 3 AG Associates 8108 and 5 AG Associates 8800), for a 6 month deployment Resolve temperature uniformity issues on 2 tools (tools down >3 months, lack of manpower main reason for the excessive downtime). Tool 1: temperature uniformity poor after tool re-location. Tool2: original hot spot at wafer notch position not resolved. Troubleshooting general temperature control issues across the fleet Assist with PM best practice development Basic training for shift maintenance techs

  • Position Requirements

    • Ability to effectively use hand tools, meters, scopes and other specialized equipment.

    • Ability to lift, pull, push objects weighing up to 50lbs.

    • Ability to work in cleanroom attire and sit or stand for prolonged period of time.

    • Ability to travel nationally as well as internationally

    • Valid passport - or ability to obtain a valid passport.

    • OEM certification a plus but not required.

    • Basic MS Windows and MS office computer skills.

    • Flexibility to work various shifts (8-12 hours), overtime, stand-by, on-call, holidays, etc., when required.


    • Work Experience

  • Must be proficient in all job responsibilities and service requirements for AG RTP 8108 & 8800

  • 4+ years’ experience required supporting above tool sets

  • Time and Project management skills highly desirable.

    • Education

  • Minimum education requirements = AS degree in an engineering discipline. A BS degree in an engineering discipline is highly desirable (related engineering discipline is electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical).

  • Military education combined with related experience may be substituted for academic education.
