Position: Medical Assistant / X-Ray
Location: Tarzana, CA
Hourly Rate: $22-$25/hr.
Immediate opening for Medical Assistant / X-Ray Tech to work full-time position for large orthopedic office in Tarzana.
The Medical Assistant / X-Ray Tech will be responsible for:

Assisting with Medical Assisting duties

Willing to be trained/learn casting removals, etc.

Prep patient for diagnostic imaging exam.

Take medical histories.
-
Produce x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical conditions

Prepare solutions for patients to drink.

Surround the exposed area with radiation protection devices.
-
Position radiographic equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient's body.

Measure the thickness of the section to be radiographed.

Adjust controls on the x-ray machine to produce radio-graphs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part.

Keep patient records.

Adjust and maintain equipment.
The Medical Assistant / X-Ray Tech required work experience & education includes:

1-2 years of X-Ray tech experience
-
Knowledge of patient positions, exposure measures and times, and safety precautions
-
Current Limited X-Ray license
-
Current Basic Life Support Card (CPR/BCLS)
