Our client is looking for a Permit Technician to perform customer service, processing, problem solving, and code administration services in support of permitting, business licensing, and/or short-term vacation rental operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administering business licenses and permits.

Communicating with customers regarding upcoming permits and business license expiration.

Interpreting plans, specifications, and other related construction documents and maps.

Assists customers at the counter, over the phone, or via email by answering general inquiries related to functions, processes, and other related items.

Inputs data into related software applications.
-
Maintains and updates logs, files, maps, and records.
-
Maintains and updates related program data, and updates website information.
-
Maintains permit and licensing records, insurance, fees, and additional required documentation.
-
Performs training of new employees in work duties and procedures as assigned.

Processes, reviews, approves and issues new and renewal of licenses and permits.

Provides administrative and clerical staff support to department personnel as assigned.

Provides customer service with assistance in filling out forms and applications; addressing complaints; acting as an information liaison between customers, residents, consultants, and staff; and resolving customer issues.

Research property history, permits, complaints, and other information regarding residential and commercial properties.

Reviews daily financial transactions; processes deposits; resolves accounting issues; calculates fees and processes payments and refunds.

Routes plans for review and correction between departments and customers.
-
Verifies and reviews information for appropriate approvals and required attachments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes, regulations, ordinances, rules, and processes.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Full-time: Monday – Friday
Pay = $27-30/hr (DOE)
