Job Title: Production Team Member
Location: Chaseburg, WI
Shift: Every Mon/Tues & Every other Fri-Sun, 6 am - 6 pm
Pay: $18.00 + $1 weekend premium (Sat & Sun)
Summary of Role:
As a Production Team Member, you will be responsible for printing and packaging butter while ensuring sanitation in production and storage areas. This safety-sensitive role operates 365 days a year, including holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily assembly/disassembly, cleaning (CIP/COP), and sanitizing of production equipment.
- Complete ATP test swabs and document results for assigned areas.
- Operate various machines including case/carton printers, butter packer, case packer, bulk filler, microfix machine, and butter churn.
- Assist with palletizing and shrink-wrapping for shipping.
- Obtain certification for electric pallet jacks.
- Contribute to the plant quality program, including taking samples and using testing equipment.
- Accurately complete record-keeping paperwork and logbooks.
- Safely use the chemical system for sanitation.
- Ensure equipment and areas are sanitary and fully operational before production.
- Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation in various areas.
- Comply with federal and state regulations, CROPP Cooperative programs, and policies.
- Follow good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance policies.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with general plant cleaning and property maintenance as needed.
- Support other production areas when there is no activity at the creamery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of machine operations.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Availability to work weekends.
- Sanitation experience in a food processing environment is preferred.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Neat and legible handwriting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret critical information and follow specific instructions.
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds, occasionally lift up to 80 pounds with assistance, push/pull up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment.
- Ability to bend, twist/turn, reach above shoulders, and climb as needed while using proper body mechanics.
- Manual dexterity for frequent wrist twisting and bending motions.
- Ability to safely work with hot liquids and required sanitation chemicals, including using necessary PPE.
