In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring product conformance, driving quality systems, and supporting new product launches in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers while helping the organization meet and maintain IATF 16949 automotive quality standards.
What You’ll Do as a Quality Assurance Engineer:
Reporting to the Engineering Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Engineer is a core member of project teams supporting product launches, process changes, and ongoing production quality. You’ll develop and maintain process controls, support APQP and PPAP documentation, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
You’ll coordinate PPAP and prototype submissions, review and release incoming raw materials, investigate supplier and production quality issues, and support corrective actions through root cause analysis. This role includes hands-on laboratory testing, audit facilitation, nonconforming material management, and analysis of scrap data to drive cost reduction and continuous improvement.
You’ll also support internal quality systems, customer complaint resolution, supplier PPAP approvals, layered audits, and GROWTTH and Kaizen initiatives. Occasional travel may be required to support supplier or customer quality needs.
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive or manufacturing environments such as metal fabrication, injection molding, metrology, or quality engineering
Working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC, GD&T, MSA, GRR, CPK, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures
Experience with quality systems, nonconforming material processes, corrective actions, and audits
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, Gage Track, and quality or MRP systems. SAP experience is a plus
Willingness to travel as needed for supplier or customer quality events
