Referral Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a great company located in Sparta, is hiring for help in their Pastry Department on 1st shift.



Wage: $12.00/hour

Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Mon - Thursday with overtime on Friday as needed.




The Production Operator position is responsible for the operation of machinery and equipment used to manufacture high quality products by monitoring, recording, and making adjustments to machines as needed to meet customer demands. The Machine Operator must be able to operate and troubleshoot machine operation and inspect finished products.




Responsible for the operation of the machine in a safe manner according to safety guidelines including lockout/tagout procedures as applicable by location. Responsible for the set up and adjustments and use of necessary additional equipment and tools required to operate machine for specified products. Responsible for reading and interpreting job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, recognizing types of material for specific products and ensuring proper monitoring and recording are performed. Inspects for manufacturing flaws and defects. Keeps machine running in a consistent manner to ensure productivity demands are met. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability. Other duties may be assigned.





High School Diploma or GED, and up to one year related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Ability to speak, read and comprehend English is preferred in order to interpret written documents such as; shop orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with supervisors, co-workers and customers.



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is preferred. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs is preferred.



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
