CAD Programmer

We're seeking a CAD Programmer to join our client’s team at a leading metal manufacturing company. If you're passionate about turning blueprints into real-world products and thrive on precision, this is the job for you. You'll be a key player in their operation, bridging the gap between design and production.

Position – CAD Programmer

Job Location – Oshkosh, WI

Starting Date – ASAP

Employment Term – Direct Hire or Temp to Hire option

Employment Type – Full time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st shift

Starting Pay – Based on Experience

Required Education – Technical degree ideal but not required

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Program and nest parts for our CNC cutting equipment (e.g., plasma, laser, and oxy-fuel).

• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to create precise CAD/CAM programs.

• Optimize material utilization to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure program accuracy.

• Maintain a digital library of programs and production data.

Qualifications 

• You have experience with CAD/CAM software

• You're a problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail.

• You understand material properties and nesting principles for steel fabrication.

• You have strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with a team.

• Previous experience in a steel manufacturing or fabrication environment is a big plus.
