Production Supervisor


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production floor in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be a critical leader, responsible for supervising production staff, ensuring strict compliance with safety and food quality standards, achieving challenging production goals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Position – Production Supervisor

Job Location – Ripon, WI

Starting Date – ASAP

Employment Term – Temp to hire/Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st shift – 12 hour shifts

Starting Pay – $70 to $80K per year

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role


The Production Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to the success of our operation, including:

Production Management and Efficiency

  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency, high quality, and timely execution of manufacturing schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, downtime, and material usage.
  • Coordinate effectively with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to swiftly resolve production issues and optimize workflow.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Train, lead, and motivate a diverse production staff to consistently achieve performance targets and uphold the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Manage employee schedules, timekeeping, and conduct timely performance evaluations.
  • Support and enforce all company policies related to safety, sanitation, and workplace conduct.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

  • Monitor and maintain strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety regulations, and all company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and workstations to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing and sustaining Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives including lean manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction efforts.


Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a related production environment.
  • Experience operating and managing both automated and semi-automated production lines.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and basic troubleshooting of production equipment.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with production systems, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or MES systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, shifts, and weekends as business needs require.
