Are you a people person with a knack for numbers and a little grease under your fingernails? We're looking for a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on helping customers while supporting our back-office operations with essential administrative and light accounting tasks.

Employment Term – Temp to hire

Employment Type – Full time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st shift

Starting Pay – $18 per hour +

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience


As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a positive experience. A significant part of this role involves balancing customer needs with administrative accuracy.


Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Respond to customer calls, emails, and online inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Administrative Support: Process orders, manage customer accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Light Accounting Tasks: Assist the finance department with tasks such as invoice processing, verifying payment accuracy, basic data entry for receivables/payables, and generating simple financial reports.
  • Technical Assistance (A Plus!): Provide basic troubleshooting or information regarding our small engine products (e.g., mowers, generators, power tools).

Qualifications 

  • Experience: Proven experience in a Customer Service role.
  • Accounting Aptitude: Familiarity with basic accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, understanding of an invoice) or previous experience in an administrative/bookkeeping capacity.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting, as well as strong skills in Word and Outlook.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bonus Knowledge: Practical knowledge or hands-on experience with small engines (repair, maintenance, or sales) is a significant advantage.
