Rework Technician – IPC Certified

Location: Burnsville, MN
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Overview

An experienced Rework Technician is needed for a local electronics manufacturer specializing in high-reliability printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies used in aerospace, industrial, and medical applications.

This role is ideal for someone with strong soldering and rework skills who holds an active IPC certification and enjoys detailed, precision-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rework, repair, and modification of PCB and electronic assemblies in accordance with IPC standards.
• Conduct fine-pitch soldering, component replacement, and defect correction under a microscope or rework station.
• Follow engineering drawings, schematics, and repair instructions to ensure product accuracy.
• Verify all work meets IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 quality standards.
• Maintain an ESD-safe, organized, and clean workspace.
• Document rework and communicate with production and quality teams to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Current IPC certification (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent).
• Prior experience performing rework or repair on electronic assemblies.
• Strong soldering and inspection skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.
• Reliable, quality-focused, and able to work independently or in a small team setting.
