Job Title: Welder / Metal Fabricator Level 1

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with paid overtime as needed

Position Overview:

Seeking a skilled Welder / Metal Fabricator with experience in MIG welding and structural fabrication. The ideal candidate is organized, capable of running their own projects, and comfortable working on a variety of fabrication projects. The facility is clean and well-equipped with modern tools and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and sketches.
• Fabricate, weld, and assemble structural metal products to specification.
• Operate fabrication machines including press brakes, rolls, saws, and other powered industrial equipment safely.
• Resolve assembly and production issues; grind and clean workpieces.
• Follow safety protocols while fabricating, cutting, and assembling metal products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3+ years of MIG welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret multiple drawing formats, including CAD.
• Must pass a pre-employment weld and fit-up assessment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating forklifts and using hand tools (square, protractor, socket set, wrenches, measuring tools).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds overhead and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

• Welding certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks requiring depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects above shoulder height.
