Quality Specialist

Pay

$22 – $28 per hour (based on experience)

Durand, WI

Shift & Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Verify, maintain, and organize daily production and product release records.

  • Manage product release activities, including preparing Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and verifying finished goods meet specifications.

  • Support ongoing facility inspections, sanitation tracking, and internal audit readiness.

  • Enter and maintain maintenance work orders, calibration logs, and laboratory documentation.

  • Maintain and update supplier approval documentation and the Supplier Register.

  • Assist with new product development records and documentation requirements.

  • Support the company’s training and sanitation programs by preparing rosters, tracking completion, and organizing related files.

  • Participate in internal and external audits, including SQF and customer audits.

  • Assist in the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) process and help track progress to completion.

  • Contribute to the Self-Inspection and Food Safety Teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Generate Certificates of Conformance (COCs) as needed for customer requirements.

  • Identify, report, and help resolve any food safety or quality issues.

  • Participate in customer complaint investigations and document corrective actions.

  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, GMPs, and HACCP protocols.

  • Perform other related quality and documentation tasks as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Food Science, Quality, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a food manufacturing or third-party laboratory environment.

  • Familiarity with SQF, BRC, or other GFSI-based audit systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • HACCP, FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), or similar certifications preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
