Service Technician

Position – Service Technician

Job Location – Sun Prairie/Madison Area WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (8:30am – 5:00pm)

Starting Pay – Depends on Experience, $25 - $35 per hour

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix plumbing issues in residential and commercial settings.

• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and showers.

• Maintain and repair water and sewer lines, including septic systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams for installation and repair projects.

• Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems and solutions clearly.

• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and work performed. 

Qualifications and skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing: Active Journeyman or Master plumbing license is often required.

• Experience: Verifiable work experience is typically required, with the amount varying by employer.

• Technical skills: Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including using tools and soldering pipes.

• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems effectively.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear customer and team interaction.

• Customer service: A strong focus on providing excellent service.

• Physical ability: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working in various weather conditions
