POSITION – Technical Sales Person
JOB LOCATION – Wausau, WI
STARTING DATE – As soon as possible
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm, based on team rotation)
STARTING PAY – $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
EDUCATION – HS Diploma or equivalent required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE – Customer service or sales background; exposure to composites or manufacturing is helpful; NetSuite ERP knowledge is a plus
Join a trusted supplier of composite materials used across industries such as aerospace, automotive, sporting goods, and consumer products. One that provides carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar/aramid fabrics, resins, and a wide range of consumables to support innovative, high-performance product development.
As a Technical Sales Person, you’ll work closely with customers to recommend materials, answer product questions, and support their purchasing needs. This role blends customer communication with hands-on exposure to our materials, giving you practical understanding that strengthens your ability to support clients effectively.
Responsibilities

Assist customers by phone, email, and in-person with product recommendations and order support

Gain hands-on knowledge of composite materials and their applications

Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to better understand inventory and product handling

Enter orders, update account information, and manage tasks within the NetSuite ERP system

Prepare quotes, check stock levels, and coordinate with internal departments to support sales activities

Build strong knowledge of customer needs and communicate solutions clearly

Help with light physical tasks associated with material handling or product understanding

Participate in ongoing training to expand technical expertise

Follow company safety standards and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications

Willingness to learn and ability to quickly absorb technical product information

Strong communication and customer service skills

Hands-on, adaptable mindset

Previous sales, customer service, retail, or manufacturing experience is beneficial

Familiarity with ERP systems—especially NetSuite—is an advantage

Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
