Cabinet Associate


Are you skilled with hand tools and passionate about precision woodworking? We are seeking a dedicated Cabinetry Associate I to join Fond du lac client’s production team! You will be responsible for constructing high-quality cabinets and countertops from start to finish, ensuring every product meets the rigorous performance standards and customer specifications.


Position – Cabinet Associate

Job Location – Fond du Lac, WI

Starting Date – ASAP

Employment Term – Temp to hire

Employment Type – Full time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st shift

Starting Pay – $18+

Required Experience – Must have previous woodworking experience




Responsibilities

  • Construction: Build custom cabinets and countertops from both scratch and pre-cut parts, adhering strictly to shop drawings and quality standards.
  • Machine & Tool Operation: Safely and effectively operate a variety of equipment, including the glue press, sprayers, table saw, boring machine, hand tools (like DA sanders, miter saws, drills, etc.).
  • Laminating: Expertly apply laminates according to detailed procedures and specifications.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Complete all required paperwork and records, including using the ERP system to correctly clock in/out of projects for accurate costing and processing requisitions.
  • Finished Goods Management: Accurately label finished goods according to the customer order.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Consistently follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.


Qualifications 

  • Measurement Mastery: Demonstrated ability to accurately use a tape measure and apply measurements to processes.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proven ability to safely and effectively operate essential hand and power tools (e.g., hand drills, miter saws, table saws, etc.).
  • Reading Shop Drawings: Ability to read basic shop drawings and apply necessary measurements.
  • Laminate Processing: Demonstrated basic knowledge and ability to perform laminate processes.
  • Initiative & Accuracy: Shows initiative and ability to accurately complete assigned tasks while maintaining budgeted work hours and ensuring correct product labeling.
  • Paperwork & System Use: Demonstrated ability to correctly fill out forms (e.g., Stock Material Usage forms) and use computer systems for time tracking and costing.
