Primary Purpose/Objectives of the Job: Process bulk dietary ingredients in accordance with SOP and GMP guidelines. Complete daily production product schedule set by supervisor. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions: All Areas: • Follow all SOPs and GMPs • Clean, prepare and organize process area • Completely read and understand all instructions listed on Load Sheet • Complete paperwork and initial/sign where required as steps of process are completed • Return all unused raw materials to appropriate location • Assist within department and in other departments as directed by supervisor • Follows all environmental, health and safety protocols. • Provides support for all safety and environmental initiatives. • Proactively attempts to prevent all accidents and eliminate all unsafe conditions. • Demonstrates management’s commitment to safety. Batching: • Retrieve raw materials listed on Load Sheet or Pick Ticket, from warehouse/holding area, by means of material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc. • Weigh raw materials to the amount listed on Load Sheet or Pick Ticket • Assemble pallet of batched raw materials for the next step in the process • Return all unused raw materials to appropriate location Mixing: • Retrieve batched materials from holding area by means of material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand truck etc. • Mix/Blend batches in accordance with instructions listed on Load Sheet • Dispense product onto drying racks for drying and place into oven(s) (Drying room), or into other vessel for further processing Grinding • Remove product from drying rack(s) and place in vessel for further processing • Grind/Mill batches in accordance with instructions listed on LoadSheet • Lay out product onto drying rack(s) for additional drying, if required • Weigh and obtain total for each lot number and record on appropriate paperwork NSL2 Utah only • Retrieve batched materials from holding area by means of material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand truck etc. • Mix/Blend batches in accordance with instructions listed on Load Sheet • Dispense product onto drying racks for drying and place into oven(s) (Drying room), or into other vessel for further processing • Remove product from drying rack(s) and place in vessel for further processing • Grind/Mill batches in accordance with instructions listed on LoadSheet • Lay out product onto drying rack(s) for additional drying, if required • Weigh and obtain total for each lot number and record on appropriate paperwork Required Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experiences: (essential to the position) • Education level: minimum/preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent • Preferred areas of study: General • Similar or related experience desired: Previous manufacturing experience preferred • Essential skills/knowledge: Understanding of basic math and English reading skills to perform essential functions of the job, understanding of weights and measurements.
