We are currently seeking a UC Architect to support end client in Orlando or Atlanta. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
The UC Architect role is one of a SME resource to utilize their technology background to lead the consultative discovery and execution of the client UC goals, objectives, and challenges and to translate them into effective infrastructure solutions. This position reports directly to the VP of Staff Augmentation. The UC Specialist will provide direction and support in the following areas: client assignments, new products and services, engineering procedures and guidelines, advanced technical escalations. The specialist must have the ability to assess, architect, design, and implement Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions and into Customer Environments with Cisco and Microsoft UC solutions. Must have core understanding of OS design and directory services allowing for complete solution integration is required. Experience and Certifications with Cisco Telepresence and PolyCom Video Conferencing Solutions highly desirable. Experience integrating UC, Collaboration, and Business Video Solutions into complex and highly dispersed enterprise IT environments that include a variety of end devices desired.
This position regularly communicates to internal and external customers to achieve a mutually desirable outcome. This position will make recommendations to internal parties and customers in regard to concerns or issues, and ensure resolution of any problems working closely in conjunction with assigned clients. This position will regularly communicate answers to complex questions and respond to detailed inquiries about technical stand up of new client. This position handles and is expected to protect all internal and external confidential information and must utilize discretion and judgment based on company policies and procedures.
Depth of Knowledge Required: Minimum of 5 years as a UC Architect utilizing Cisco and Microsoft UC solutions
Key Technical Responsibilities:
Must have technical knowledge of escalation support, design and implementation of:
Ability to Assess, Architect, Design, and Implement Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions and into Customer Environments. Experience and OEM Certifications for UC and Collaboration Solutions for Cisco, and Microsoft UC desired. Core understanding of OS design and directory services allowing for complete solution integration is required.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 7 and 8.x
Cisco Unity Connection (UCnx) Version 8.X
PSTN Gateways
Cisco Meeting Place and iOS based conferencing
Cisco Presence Server (CUPS) Version 8.X
Microsoft Lync Integration experience
Configuration experience with Cisco 79XX, 89XX and 99XX IP Phones
Understanding of Cisco IP phone video support and operation
Configuration experience with analog paging integration and zones
Configuration experience with Cisco Unified Attendant Console configuration
Configuration experience with CME and CUE
Understanding of Cisco video integration to Cisco UC and SIP and VCS
Configuration experience with Cisco FAX Server
Thorough understanding of G.729, G.711, G.722, and other codecs.
Configuration experience with transcoding.
Thorough understanding of PoE, DHCP, DNS, TFTP, NTP and SNMP.
Education & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in telecommunication service industry with a focus on Cisco UC
5+ years of support of an enterprise level client program
BA or equivalent work experience
Extensive knowledge of Cisco and Microsoft Unified Communications
