Description:

Looking for talented individuals to work on cutting edge capabilities that bring data together to support leadership decision making and business/mission execution, commonly known as a logistics common operating picture. Your skills and expertise will help us acquire and integrate the data, and bring to fruition the requirements of the users and stakeholders.

  • Candidate will be capturing and managing user and mission requirements in support of HQ Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Air Force Forces (AFFOR) Logistics Common Operating Picture (LOGCOP), an information management capability.

  • Candidate will conduct user interviews at all organizational levels to identify, analyze, and document user requirements.

  • Candidate will collaborate with program management and development team to ensure requirements are met, to maximize reuse of existing capabilities and data; leading or participating in system development lifecycle milestone reviews (requirements, design, test, and deployment).

  • Candidate will collaborate with the appropriate resources to identify authoritative data sources to support requirements and propose solutions and options to make information available to support operational needs.

  • Candidate will modify / create repeatable processes and reusable templates to manage the lifecycle of the LOGCOP (requirements specification, traceability matrix, wireframes, prototypes, etc.).

  • Further activities will include developing training materials for various levels of the organization, and collaborating with users to troubleshoot functionality issues.

  • Candidate will update senior leadership and make recommendations for strategic planning and prioritization of requirements, technologies, and data acquisition to meet customer goals.

 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required.

  • DoD SECRET clearance required.

  • 6-10 years of IT related experience as a primary duty

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle processes and/or managing information system development is required

  • Previous experience with requirements management tools, business modeling, processes implementation, use case development, and requirements traceability is a must.

  • Must be well organized and have outstanding written and oral communication skills.

  • Candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge working within Air Force business operations particularly in Logistics, Logistics Plans, Deployments, or a broad understanding of maintenance operations and supply chain management.

  • Candidate must possess working level experience with Business Intelligence and reporting capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of the PACAF AFFOR A4 mission is desirable.

  • PMP and Six Sigma Certification are a plus.
