Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is currently seeking a Recruiting Assistant to join our team. The Recruiting Assistant is the entry-level, professional position in our organizational structure.   • Assist with filing on a daily basis

  • Provide direct support to the recruiters, including but not limited to:

    • Conduct reference checks and education checks for all candidates placed with a client

    • Write presentations and revise resumes as requested by recruiters

    • Create job orders and utilize TempWorks Software to full potential

    • Screen, call, and schedule candidates to come in for interviews on a daily basis

    • Create and document client interview confirmations, assignment confirmations, interview feedback, extensions, etc.

  • Interview candidates as needed:

    • Act as back-up to the Front Desk during lunch hour

    • Assist candidates with the interview process, including the pre-employment application, testing, and notifying recruiters when the candidate is ready to be interviewed

    • Answer any questions the candidate may have regarding assessment testing and interviewing

    • Immediately respond to all inquiries from applicants regarding their application via phone, web, and/or email

    • Take all “available” calls received from candidates, communicate availability to team via email, and document in TempWorks

  • Maintain candidate and employee confidence and protects operations by keeping private information confidential

  • Participate in networking events, job fairs, and learning seminars to gain more candidates and get more business

  • Special projects as directed by management, recruiters, and human resources

  • Additional duties, as needed



  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree or higher in business, human resources, or related field of study

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in HR or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service

  • Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and accomplish many detail-oriented tasks simultaneously

  • Must demonstrate a strong customer focus, team orientation, and technical proficiency to include (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

  • Ability to make sound business decisions and on your toes in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal communications (verbal and written)

  • Excellent follow-through skills and time management

  • Multi-tasking, organization, and prioritization skills are essential

  • Ability to communicate on all levels within the organization (i.e. Clerk to President)

  • Ability to take on-the-spot feedback from management and peers

  • Ability to work with others in a respectful manner and follow the company culture values, including the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Core Values
