  • The Workplace Consulting department is one of the most important departments in the company, as it drives 80% of the revenue for the organization. The Workplace Consultant (WC), working in conjunction with the Business Development & Marketing Department, utilizes sales and organizational skills to develop and maintain business relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Will need to develop business opportunities through networking and outreach, generates informational material and quotes for clients in a timely, organized fashion, closes sales. Develops business relationships with various influencers to identify potential opportunities early

  • Drives sales and profitability by leading the development of creative and innovative interior design/space planning solutions, commercial grade furniture and material, and services to meet client needs

  • Works with a team that includes design, project management and installation to achieve successful projects for our clients. Collaborates with the Architects and/or Interior Designers to meet functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements

  • Required to manage the Design Team, Account Manager(s) (AM), Marketing Team, and external vendors for each project. Project success is predicated on Workplace Consultant’s ability to delegate tasks, manage their client, and follow-through on deadlines

  • Develops account plans with existing accounts that maximize market penetration and retention

  • Manages assigned sales funnel

  • Follow-up with customers and providing alternate solutions is essential

  • Oversight of project from inception through installation is critical

  • Establishing relationships with manufacturer’s representatives and design firms is required

  • Participation in department meetings and activities in support of the project is required

  • Works with other external companies (architectural products, lighting, flooring, painting, etc.) to provide cross-selling opportunities

  • Develops strategies for improved business growth

  • The Workplace Consultant oversees the overall project(s) she/he is assigned



  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in project management

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, preferably of furniture, but similar types of product may be considered

  • Experience working in the healthcare field

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong (innate) organizational skills, ability to multitask, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects

  • Effective working in teams

  • Experience working with business owners, decision makers and other executives

  • Vehicle and driver’s license

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends

  • Seeking someone with a great personality and attitude. One who is trainable, comfortable with rapid pace of work, and ability to handle lots of changes on a constant and daily basis. Someone who is comfortable asking questions and able to use resources

  • Learn and understand furniture, packing and job site planning
