Job Title: Temp Administrative Clerk

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

 

This organization is a local nonprofit that aims to connect individuals, families, and organizations with essential human and material resources. They are looking for passionate and hardworking individuals to help carry out their mission to develop community self-sufficiency and resilience by providing guidance, household goods and opportunities for empowerment and connection here in Hawaii.

 

Description:

  • Communication:

    • Answering and transferring phone calls

    • Taking phone messages from clients and other SNAP related inquiries

    • Sending emails

    • Conducts customer satisfaction surveys with SNAP clients

    • Making calls to schedule appt., follow up on voice message or email, follow up calls, etc.

    • Scheduling SNAP appointments

  • Data Entry:

    • Recording daily incoming and outgoing SNAP inquiries

    • Maintain and input information on SNAP tracker data logs for clients and employees.

    • Create spreadsheets

  • Organization:

    • Taking regular inventory of office supplies and SNAP outreach reinforcement materials

    • Filing documents on the computer

    • Maintaining SNAP Outreach Map (a map for SNAP to help map out outreach sites)

    • Organize SNAP files

    • Other admin/clerical tasks:

    • Shredding

    • Copying, scanning, or faxing

    • Mailings

    • Produce memos, letters, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of customer service and/or administrative experience.

  • Extensive working knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, OneDrive and other database operational software.

  • Ability to work directly and collaboratively with diverse persons and programs found in a multi-faceted agency and community.

  • Effective communication skills (listening, speaking and writing) with proven ability to take and relay detailed and accurate information.

  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to work under pressure and with diverse populations.
