Description:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting a variety of responsibilities within the department including, but not limited to, administrative duties, recruiting, training, employee relations, record keeping, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Administrative offices.

Job involves working:

    • under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).

    • around dust and/or mite hazards.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:           All Hotel Departments

External:          Hotel guests/visitors, other hotel executives, corporate office personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

    • College degree, Human Resources or related field preferred.

    • 1-2 years of previous administrative experience preferred in a professional setting. Completion of HR internship or HR experience a strong plus.

    • Strong organizational skills, multi-task oriented, attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong computer skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Knowledge and use of social media.

    • Pleasant phone demeanor.

    • Strong employee relations’ skills and ability manage confidential information.

    • Ability to speak multiple languages a strong plus.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

Essential:

1. Exert physical effort in transporting 10 pounds.

2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.

3. Reach 6 feet.

4. Remain in an upright position for 45 minutes throughout work shift.

5. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Function as Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources team

    • Assist HR Managers and Senior Coordinator with projects as assigned.

    • General office administration including office supply inventory, employee file maintenance, and other project and office support as need.

    • Maintain HR logs and ensuring accurate tracking, processing of forms and documentation to employee files.

    • Assist with new hire paperwork and processing.

    • Assist with celebration and recognition programs.

    • Track expenditures and process invoices for payment.

    • Assist with employee communication materials via email and/or flyers.

    • Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and fellow employees at all times.

    • Practice safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Human Resources.

    • Audit employees in Workday to ensure all personal information is completed and correct status is in the HRIS.

    • Audit Federal and State required posters and maintain employee communication boards.

    • Maintain central filing for common forms and replenish HR forms inside and outside the office.

    • Attend job fairs and assist in job fair coordination as needed.

    • Will assist with administration of property specific employee events and recognition programs.

    • Assist with Workday date entry in the absence of HR Manager or as assigned.

    • Will perform additional duties as requested by the Director of Human Resources.

    • Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Requirements:

  • MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and retain information.

  • Must be self-directed and work well under tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrate initiative and handle tasks without constant supervision.
