Since 1962 this company has been providing cold storage and distribution of frozen and refrigerated foods to people in Hawaii. Ideally situated in the Pacific Northwest, California, and Hawaii this company takes extra effort to distribute products from the source to the consumer. This company employs skillfully trained professionals who are experts in all phases of order flow and service requirements. This company has the largest refrigerated food warehouse in the State of Hawaii along with all the facilities, manpower, and expertise to assure refrigerated shipments are well take care of.

Description:

The ideal Individual must have a passion for sales and continual growth in business development of the company in accordance with corporate objectives. Accrued knowledge must include pricing, marine transportation tariffs, transportation and warehouse logistics with merits in analytics, writing skills, teamwork and independence. The objective sales manager is drive the sales and marketing program to new customers, upholding and developing existing accounts while ensuring pricing structures are maintained with ongoing industry changes. This position requires strong engagement and interface with operation, promoting the entirety of services by the company.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included the following. Other Duties May Be Assigned.

• Build sales with current and potential clients in refrigerated/dry food transportation and cold storage ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions.

• Having a willingness to travel to neighbor islands.

• Provide leadership, manage and expand the company’s customer base

• Develop and implement strategic sales and business plans.

• Negotiate rates and build relationships with customer base.

• Constant business development while achieving monthly and yearly targets.

• Maintaining and updating ocean and storage pricing internally and with customers.

• Organizing and managing pricing files.

• Team Player with positive attitude, individual initiative and good communication skills is a must.

• Understanding of ocean freight and warehousing procedures and processes.

• Effective communication with listening, speaking, and writing.

• Excellent business writing skills composing clear proposals, emails, reports or documents.

• Working with vendors for procuring promotional gifts.

• Utilize data from IT systems to evaluate customer’s sales and tonnage history.

• Knowing ocean carrier tariffs and how to negotiate.

• Execution of lease rental documents for facility tenants.

• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Training with Inbound/Outbound operations, Shipping/Warehouse documentation, inventory, claims, and invoicing.

• Excessive standing, walking, and regular lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds.

• Sense of urgency for sales, issue resolution, duties, and responsibilities.
