The Operations Manager ensures the smooth operation of the warehouse and deliveries through effective management of staff, inventory, and processes. This role requires a hands-on approach to manage the daily operations and strategic planning to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Oversee the company’s operations including, but not limited to following:

Maintains and adheres to company safety and food safety policy for Oahu facilities. Implement safety procedures and conduct regular training. Maintain compliance with DMV, DOT, FMCSA, FSMA (food safety) and OSHA regulations.

Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, distribution, and return of goods. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits. Support physical inventory counts as is required.

Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise Oahu operations team. Schedule shifts and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operations. Reviews and approves all staff time sheets and PTO. Provides effective performance evaluations for warehouse team.

Identify and implement continuous improvement solutions as part of company operational excellence initiatives.

Maintain inventory of equipment, supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees to ensure the safe storage and transport of all frozen, chill, and dry products.

Manages preventive and ongoing maintenance of equipment including trucks, forklifts, jacks, hi-lifts, racking, chargers, and other assets used in operation.

Manage within budget requirements for all Oahu warehouse and delivery operations.

Coordinate with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods.

Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to streamline operations.

Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse & delivery operations performance metrics.

Performs other related duties as required including supporting warehouse and delivery operations when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Three to five years of experience in transportation, delivery, warehouse management, inventory control,

Strong knowledge of FSMA regulations, warehouse management, transportation, and safety best practices.

Ability to develop personnel and equipment structures to support present and future operations.

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Must be able to obtain Medical Examiner’s Certification compliance with DOT requirements.

High School Diploma / GED equivalent.
