Hours: Monday – Sunday, 5:30AM – 6:00PM, occasionally extending beyond 8:00PM, to total 40 hours/week

Location: Kailua -Kona / Big Island

Parking: Parking available in the area

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

  • Meets and briefs Japanese clients and non-Japanese clients and all tour types at airport for both arrivals and departures

  • Coordinates baggage movement to correct destinations for arrivals

  • Assists baggage check-in to the airlines for departures

  • Conducts briefing, sells, books, and confirms optional tours and souvenirs

  • Answers telephone at main business line and trolley phone center lines

  • Works with tour escort for groups



  • Japanese language skill at business level (Speak, Read and Write)

  • Possession of a valid State of Hawaii driver’s license

  • 1 year cash-handling experience

  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate and negotiate with employees, business partners, and clients in Japanese and English via written, verbal, and reading communication methods at a business level

  • Working knowledge of Hawaii’s tourism infrastructure, Japanese tour characteristics, and Japanese culture and customs

  • Computer skills and proficiency and the ability to input/output sales

  • Ability to handle stressful situations

  • Ability to solve problems and handle complains in a calm, professional manner

  • Ability to work with alertness, accuracy, flexibility, and attention-to-detail

  • Ability to remember/keep up with constantly changing details regarding hotels, airlines, tour movements, prices, time schedules, etc.

  • Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others

  • Ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner

  • Must be customer-service orientated

  • Must be able to have a flexible schedule and be okay with overtime as deemed necessary
