Loan Officers needed in Chico,CA


Acquire and retain new and existing customers. Work with Realtors and their clients to assist them in obtaining home loans.



  • To be available to clients and coworkers during work hours and on weekends if needed.

  • To be able to pre-qualify borrowers over the phone or in person.

  • Support other Loan Consultants/ Officers as needed.

  • Support loan transactions from application to closing.

  • Develop relationships with Partners and their clients.

  • Provide ongoing marketing and support of existing Partners.


Standards of Performance:

  • Loan Consultant devotes his/her time to this position on a full-time or part time basis.

  • Loan Consultants are expected to close an average of 7 loans per month (excluding HELOC’s and second mortgages).

  • Efficiently communicate with borrowers’ via phone, written communication and / or in person.

  • Knowledgeable regarding mortgage processes, able to answer borrower’s questions and take applications.

  • Assembles a complete loan package for processing.

  • Follows loan transactions from application to closing.

  • Able to multi-task (i.e. work on multiple loans simultaneously).

  • Effectively uses E3 (or other origination software), contact management software and Microsoft Office products.

  • Knowledgeable on Conventional, FHA, VA loan programs.

  • Able to learn changing information regarding loan programs and able to incorporate these changes while dealing with members.

  • Is courteous and sensitive to the unique needs of each borrower and Partners.

  • Works well with other members of the EHL team, and is willing and able to fill in for other EHL Loan Consultants/ Officers.

  • Provides the same high level of customer service to internal customers (example: coworkers) as to external customers (example: borrowers).

  • Is proactive in continuous learning (asks questions, etc.), including experience and knowledge.

  • Able to compile and maintain email databases to be used for communication to current and past borrowers.

  • Performs all actions in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.


Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:

  • Good character, motivated, hard working.

  • Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.

  • Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.

  • Must have current Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through the NMLS required per the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.

  • High school Diploma
