Gourmet Food company in the Hayward area is looking for a seasoned Logistics Coordinator/Customer Service Representative to join their team as a temporary to hire employee..

Position Summary:

The Customer Service/Logistics is the primary point of contact for the customers and consumers, and they are also responsible for processing orders and handling logistics.

Essential Functions

  • Arrange and manage freight carriers for product shipments from various locations in a cost-effective manner

  • Respond and follow up on inquiries verbal/written with customers (external/internal), vendors and consumers

  • Responsible for accurate processing of all orders and to confirm customer purchase orders, pricing, track shipments and communicate any issues in fulfillment

  • Manage finished goods orders to co-packers, and arrange logistics

  • Works closely with Operations to manage inventory levels at all locations for the brand

  • Works closely with brand management on forecasts and new distribution needs

Qualifications

Education and Experience

- High School degree/GED

- 2 to 3 year’s customer service experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, or combination higher education and experience

- Experience working within a production and/or sales environment a plus

- Logistics and freight schedule experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

· Exceptional interpersonal skills: positive, respectful and customer focused

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Results/deadline oriented with effective follow through

· Solid Microsoft Office skills

· Experience with ERP systems

· Experience with EDI a plus

 

Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
