Greensboro client looking for a Material Handler for 3rd shift $12.12 hr


Set up or clear/change production material at work stations according to work orders using material handling equipment or by hand. Help production workers by performing duties including supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.



 High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)


  • Use DTR and other computer software programs correctly to locate materials for use in manufacturing

  • Uses material handling equipment to move product to presses and transfer the product in the computer system.

  • Conduct “line clearance” when work order is completed returning all unused materials to correct location both physical and in the computer software system.

  • Verify lot numbers /description match on all product compared to production work orders, labels etc.

  • Supplies correct and sufficient material to the presses.

  • Maintains and supplies cartons and secondary material at presses at all times.

  • Removes all finished product as required and puts in proper area.

  • Loads cartons onto skids properly and maintains proper markings on the cartons.

  • Places production in the proper areas.

  • Mix raw material for production jobs (when necessary)

  • Informs supervisor of inventory levels of material.

  • Performs walk around with other material handlers and coordinates at shift change.

  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and/or with forklift.

  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

  • Operates electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

  • Empties plastic grinders and uses regrind with virgin material as specified by  supervisor and manager.

  • Places and maintains all secondary equipment needed for each job.

  • Follows instructions given by supervisor and manager.

  • Maintains good housekeeping throughout the plant at all times.

  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines.

  • Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Attends job-related educational programs as required.

  • Maintains above average attendance.

  • Works overtime as required.

  • Provides tools required to perform the duties of the job.

  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.

  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.

  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

  • Mark or tag identification on parts.

  • Load and unload items from machines

  • Help production workers by performing duties  such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.

  • Other duties may be assigned.
