We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Procurement Specialist to join our finance department. This individual will play a vital role in acquiring, negotiating, and procuring goods and services. The ideal candidate should have a solid track record in procurement, ideally within the industrial or construction sectors, possessing a deep understanding of project-based ERP systems. Experience in negotiating vendor terms and conditions, coupled with a strong ability to drive cost savings without compromising quality, is highly desired.

 

Salary is $75,000 to $80,000 + 10% bonus based on profitability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services in line with established policies and procedures.

  • Enhance organizational efficiency by implementing and managing a streamlined purchase order process.

  • Utilize Vista procurement systems for accurate and efficient procurement management.

  • Collaborate closely with operations and finance teams, including project managers, to achieve cost-saving objectives and organizational targets.

  • Evaluate, select, and sustain vendor relationships based on quality, cost, reliability, and other pertinent factors.

  • Optimize vendor rebate programs to maximize potential and ensure adherence to regulations.

  • Negotiate vendor terms and conditions to secure favorable pricing, payment structures, and service contracts.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to comprehend procurement needs and specifications.

  • Monitor and address vendor performance concerns promptly.

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancements within procurement.

  • Maintain meticulous records of procurement activities and expenditures.

  • Stay abreast of market trends, industry advancements, and procurement best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in procurement operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

  • 5-7 years of procurement experience, preferably in industrial or construction settings with project-based ERP systems.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in negotiating vendor agreements and securing advantageous terms.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
