Job Title: Machine Operator

Department: Production

Function:

Perform operator duties in the handling of finished product from each piece of machinery.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures. Effectively communicate both in written and verbally to other on-coming or off going shifts. Stand for long periods of time. Approximately 95% of time on the job is spent standing up. Have good hand and eye coordination to use tools.

Arrive at work in a timely manner and receive daily job assignments and be at the workstation prior to the
start of the shift.

Execution of duties may include lifting, reaching, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, and pulling. These activities will require that one be in general good health. Maintain a safe and clean work environment that adheres to SS standards. Work overtime if necessary.

Use the following equipment daily: Pallet jacks, pen, calculator, tape / tape gun, and scales. Support and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Support and participate in any Lean activities such as SMED, 5S, TPM, and VSM as needed. Assist in the control of non-conforming product Support and participate in continuous improvement activities. Participate in corrective [action and preventative action activities. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or other member of management with or without concession.

Preferred/Required Education/Skills:

High School Diploma or GED

Basic math and reading skills; able to understand and follow instructions

Good oral communication skills

Work Environment:

Works in a manufacturing environment

8-10 hour shifts and overtime/weekends when needed

Exposed to moderate to high noise levels

Able to lift up to 35 lbs

Pay $10.00 to $12.75 per hour depending on shift.
