 Job Summary:

Leading, national and operated, US manufacturing company is seeking a Machine Operator TFC Coater with strong work history and attendance. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety.

 

 

Job Description:

• Independently set up, operate and clean coating chambers

• Interpret standard component drawings

• Perform and interpret spectral measurements using Spectrophotometers

• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical problems and perform routine and preventative maintenance on all chambers

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on critical equipment

• Identify process problems and provide input and solutions to Engineering

• Update and maintain the department’s databases, logs, and other tracking systems and be able to accurately track process parameters and yields

• Train new operators

• Participate in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance quality, cost, and scheduling

 

Job Specifications:

• HS Diploma or GED is required; Associate’s degree in technical discipline is preferred

• Minimum 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment is required

• Fundamental computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and Word are required

• Good verbal and written communication skills are required

• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn is required

• Regular, punctual attendance is required

• Flexibility for shifts and availability for overtime is required (training for this position will occur on 1st, 2nd, and/or weekend shift)

• Prior thin film coating experience and knowledge of spectrophotometry is preferred

• Ability to lift 10 pounds overhead and pull 25 pounds of force one to three times per shift is required

• Hazardous Materials (Methanol, Acetone, Ensolv, and vacuum/mechanical oils)
